Faith Essien hosted Worshippers Gathering on November 17th at Harvest Chapel, featuring Pastor Sikaba and Uncle Ato. SK Frimpong closed the month with a groundbreaking event, Dynamic Praise, at the Takoradi Mall’s Event Center on November 24th. This was the first-ever gospel concert in such a space, attracting a massive crowd and featuring stars like Esther Smith and Efe Grace.

Challenges and Impact

While this year’s gospel events had a profound impact on individuals, drawing many closer to God, organizers faced challenges, particularly with sponsorship. Lack of funding limited the scale of some programs, highlighting the need for support from private businesses and organizations.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all gospel artists and organizers in Takoradi for their dedication and efforts this year. Your work has inspired faith, fostered unity, and uplifted the community. As we look forward to the coming year, we anticipate even greater heights for gospel music and ministry in Takoradi. Let’s continue to support and celebrate the incredible work being done to glorify God.

Holy Ghost Concert 2025

What an unforgettable weekend it was in Takoradi! On Sunday, April 27th, 2025, gospel lovers and believers from all walks of life gathered for this year’s Holy Ghost Encounter—a worship event that continues to grow in influence each year. Hosted by the Western Region’s very own Efua Black, an award-winning gospel musician making waves across Ghana, the 2025 edition was nothing short of powerful.

This year’s theme was especially close to the heart: THE LATTER RAIN EXPERIENCE. It was a beautiful sight to see women and female ministers of God take center stage, leading thousands in passionate worship and uniting hearts in the presence of God.

The weekend kicked off on Saturday with Young Ministers’ Workshop, featuring seasoned gospel ministers like Elder Mireku, Yvonne Menz, Pastor Joe Bechem, and music director Stephen Owusu. These respected voices in the gospel community led practical and spiritual sessions, sharing valuable insights on how young gospel ministers can carry themselves both on and off stage. The atmosphere was filled with wisdom, encouragement, and a strong sense of mentorship.

5:00 PM on Sunday, the main event began—and the energy in the room was undeniable. Minister Sheilla and Minister Renata opened the night with powerful praise that instantly stirred hearts. They were followed by Vivian Annan, whose intimate worship set drew the audience into a deeper place of surrender.Next up was one vibrant young ministers whose energetic ministration had everyone on their feet. Then came Minister Petra Odubayo, a sensational gospel artist ministering in Takoradi for the first time. Her performance was deeply anointed and left a strong impression.

Becky Bonney brought something truly special to the night. With her deep, soulful voice, she poured her heart into every note, leading the room in a beautiful moment of worship. The atmosphere only intensified when Cecy Twum, known for her hit “Dew Bi Wo Makoma Mu,” took the stage. Her ministration was powerful, filled with grace and spiritual fire.

The host, Efua Black finally mounted the stage and it felt like the heavens opened. Her voice, her presence, and her sincere heart for God created an unforgettable worship moment. She ministered passionately, and the crowd responded in full—lifting hands, singing, and worshipping in unity. In one of the most touching parts of the night, Efua paused to present a heartfelt gift to her spiritual father, Elder Mireku recognizing the guidance and support he has provided throughout her journey.

It was a moment that reminded everyone of the importance of gratitude and mentorship in ministry, just when we thought the night couldn’t get any better, Diana Hamilton, one of Ghana’s most celebrated gospel musicians, stepped onto the stage, her energy, worship, and signature dance moves had the crowd praising like never before. It was a powerful way to end an already incredible evening.

Holy Ghost Concert- 2025 was more than just an event—it was an encounter with God. It brought people together in a shared hunger for worship and deeper connection with the Holy Spirit,With its strong focus on women in ministry, mentorship, and musical excellence, this year’s edition left a lasting mark on Takoradi and beyond. If you missed it, make plans to attend next year.
