on

Gid Fase born Gideon Nana Kofi Fase is a young, gifted worship leader, songwriter, and gospel recording artiste with a unique blend of traditional and contemporary styles of music. He is based in Takoradi, Ghana.

Born to Ghanaian parents Awulae Agyefi Kwame 11 (Omanhene of Nsein and Lower Town, Axim Traditional Council and Mrs Rita Aidoo, Gid is the only surviving child of his parents with about 20 siblings from both parents apart. His childhood days in Kojokrom, a suburb of Sekondi are ones that he fondly remembers. He says “I remember singing ‘What a friend we have in Jesus’ on Easter Convention in the Church of Pentecost (where her mum used to fellowship) at the age of 3 and getting resounding applause after the ministration”.

Gid joined Zion Praise Chapel International at the age of 4 in Adiembra where her mum used to reside.
His interest in music and the arts persisted through his involvement in the youth wing of Zion Praise Chapel International, The Armour Bearers founded by Bishop Dr. Bernard Ogyiri Asare in 2008 to intercede for his ministry and the church at the time. The group was later converted to a choir by the leading of the Holy Spirit. Gid was born again on the 6th of September of the same year. With an eagerness to discover what God has placed inside of him, the young Gid gave himself to the study of the word and to music. Soon he rose to become the organizer of the Pentecost Students and Associates (Pensa-Nseinsco) and the tenor leader of the School Choir, music director of the music ministry of the Scripture Union – Nseinsco Chapter.

The passion to further explore what God placed inside of him drove Gid to join The Altar Worshippers in the year 2010; a group of young music ministers after his high school education . Gid studied under the tutelage of the then-music director and visioneer of the group Minister Irvine Anyekase. Gid became his Personal Assistant and supervised the rehearsals of the group in his absence.

Around this time Gid was the youngest Praise and worship leader in his church, Zion Praise Chapel International, and the assistant music director of ‘The Armour Bearers Inc.’ the music wing of the youth ministry. He was then writing, arranging, and teaching songs in his home church.

Greatly influenced by the music of Donnie Mcclurkin, Don Moen, Deitrick Haddon, Pastor Joe Beecham, O.J., Daughters of Glorious of Jesus, and many others. Gid continues to lead Praise and worship at the Zion Praise Chapel International where he still fellowships. He said “My passion is to see the presence of God break loose in our church services and have a direct repercussion on our way of life”

Gid is married to Lady Debbie Fase with two children, Jojo and Yaaba.

Ace gospel musician cum Physician Assistant (PA) Philipa Baafi has release a single track “W’apegya Menhyira Mu”.
The track, released on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at exactly 6pm, is already making waves on all the digital platforms and all social media.
This is the second single track the sensational Ghanaian gospel musician has released in two years.

She released “Possible”, a powerful and uplifting anthem that inspires hope and faith in the year 2024.
The sensational gospel singer said “every song I release carries a piece of my heart and faith journey, and “W’apegya Menhyira Mu” is no different”.

“The song is deeply rooted in the biblical story of Joseph. His life reminds us that even when people rise against us, God’s purpose cannot be aborted. Joseph’s own brothers sold him into slavery, convinced they were destroying his future”.
She said “they thought they had pushed him out of his blessing, yet, in God’s divine wisdom, those very trials became the stepping stones to his promotion”.

“From a slave and a prisoner, Joseph was elevated to become the Prime Minister of Egypt. What men meant for evil, God turned around for good. This timeless story resonates with so many of us”.
The ‘I Go Dance’ hit maker said “at one point or another, we face betrayal, disappointment, or rejection—even from those we least expect”.
“We encounter moments when it feels as though the world has conspired to push us out of our blessings. But the truth remains: when the hand of God is upon your life, no one can remove you from His divine plan. W’apegya Menhyira Mu is therefore more than a song; it is a declaration of faith. It is a reminder that no matter the opposition, God’s favour will always prevail”.

Philipa explained that “it is an anthem for anyone who has ever been cast aside, reminding you that rejection can be the doorway to elevation, and your pain can be the very path God uses to usher you into your purpose”.
“This song carries a message of encouragement, hope, and assurance: man may try, but only God determines your destiny. Like Joseph, your story is not over—your blessing is secure in Him”.

The song is available on all streaming platforms.
